Ways to Support

In order to enhance work efficiency of the employees working in the relocated agencies and to upgrade the quality of life of their families, various supportive measures would be taken to ensure adequate housing, education and permanent residential environment.

Supports for Relocated Agencies

Disposal of Exiting Office Building

  • If a loss occurs, the loss will be covered by the national treasury after taking into con-sideration the revenue and expenditure.
  • When the Korea Land Corpo-ration (KLC) purchases a site or an office building, taxes paid for an acquisition and a registration are exempted

Purchase of New Office Building

  • Provide financial support to make up the shortage caused by relocation
  • Reduce local tax and conver-sion charge on the land use

Smooth Business Operation

  • Corporate tax reduction
  • Expand administrative autonomy and improve management evaluation index
  • Increase supportive mea-sures according to the needs of each agency

Measures to Support Employees of Relocated Agencies

Housing

  • Give priority to buy pre-sell housing and to move into rental housing
  • Provide long-term housing loan of low interest rate
  • Support construction of boarding house for singles
  • Extend permission period for owning two houses per household
  • Reduce acquisition and registration taxes when buying a house

Create Good Educational Environment

  • Attract specialized high schools, special-purpose high schools and publicly-funded charter schools
  • Support measures to improve the educational system of existing schools prior to others
  • Support the children of employees in relocated agencies to be transferred to local schools
  • Establish plans for school construction and supply- demand of education early

Create High Quality Permanent Residential Environment

  • Create good business environment and well-being living environment
  • Support installment of basic facilities up to the level of industrial complex

Direct Financial Support

  • Provide relocation allowance and moving expense
  • Allow voluntary retirement and honorary retirement for employees who are unable to move to local areas
  • Provide unemployment allowance for a relocated employee’s spouse
  • Provide one-stop service to search jobs for a relocated employee’s spouse
  • Provide financial support for the undergraduate students whose parents work in relocated public agencies
  • Support transfer of a relocated employee’s spouse working in a public agency prior to others
